Uravu Labs Pvt Ltd is developing a high-efficiency air-to-water device with a capacity of 2000 liters per day (LPD), aiming to achieve exceptional performance through advanced structural and design optimizations. The project objectives encompass comprehensive structural design to ensure durability and stability, coupled with 3D modeling for precise visualization and assembly of all components. It will leverage simulation software to meticulously analyze both airflow and fluid flow dynamics within the device, focusing on maximizing condensation rates and optimizing heat transfer to enhance energy efficiency. This approach ensures that the final product is highly efficient, resilient and scalable for future adaptations.
Key responsibilities would include managing the design, simulation, and iterative improvement process, as well as using advanced Autodesk tools to achieve a high-efficiency, sustainable solution that aligns with Uravu Labs’ mission.
Impact
The air-to-water device project at Uravu Labs Pvt Ltd is expected to make a significant environmental and social impact by providing an innovative solution to water scarcity, especially in areas with limited access to clean drinking water. By harnessing atmospheric moisture to produce potable water, the technology promotes sustainable water sourcing, supporting SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) by increasing safe water access. The device also contributes to SDG 13 (Climate Action) by offering an energy-efficient alternative to traditional water extraction and transport, and the system saves 2.5 lt of groundwater for every liter of water from air produced. Additionally, the project encourages sustainable use of natural resources and aims to help develop resilient infrastructure and foster innovation within the cleantech industry, helping to build a sustainable, resource-efficient future.

- Desired: Inventor, Fusion 360 & AutoCAD
Preferred fellow local experience (all projects can be completed remotely):
- Any, but knowledge of India’s environmental and water scarcity challenges / understanding of context-appropriate design would be helpful
Time zone compatibility (when the Fellow should be available for meetings):
