Powerhive develops scalable, bankable off-grid utility solutions to provides access to clean energy.
Powerhive’s goal is to be an affordable and reliable micro-grid electricity provider. Their platform combines three components to provide reliable electricity in remote areas:
Powerhive was granted permission to operate as a private utility in 2015 by the Energy Regulatory Commission of Kenya. This allows them to sell electricity from their micro-grids to the public.
