Design Specifications

The 0.1 micron absolute filter removes bacteria, protozoa and cysts. The product is designed to be simple with easy maintenance. It can be used with any plastic bucket or plastic bottle or even attached to a spigot with hose threads.

Evaluation methods

The water filtered through the product is evaluated in a laboratory for biological contamination: enterovirus, protozoa (Cryptosporidium oocysts and Giardia cysts) and bacteria (Raoultella terrigena and HPC). The product is also evaluated in HIF Emergency Household Water Filter Challenge on the basis of ease of use, performance in different scenarios and logistics.
