The Dutch Latrine Bag is a large plastic latrine pit liner which prevents human waste from polluting the groundwater table.
The Dutch Latrine Bag is a large, strong plastic bag used to line latrine pits. The bag both prevents human waste from contaminating the groundwater table, and allows for the waste to be more easily recycled for agricultural or biogas applications.
Pit latrines can be alternatively lined with brick and mortar, concrete, sandbags, or timber.
