The BlueBox 1200 RO/RORS is a mobile water purification plant.
The BlueBox 1200 RO/RORS is a mobile water purification plant produced by MuchMoreWater. The BlueBox can be deployed in 7 minutes, has a daily capacity of 28,800 L, and can be deployed in freshwater sources up to 2500 PPM salinity.
The purification process does not use any chemicals. The plant uses purifying filters, reverse osmosis membranes and UV-light to remove >99% of organic content and chlorine, and 98.9% of salts and minerals, heavy metals, pesticides, and fluoride.

Design Specifications
Source water (borehole, lake, river, etc) is pumped through the system. Water passes through pre-filtration consisting of 100 micron, 25 micron, and 5 micron filters with activated carbon. Water then passes through 8 serial connected reverse osmosis filters in non-corrosive stainless steel housing. This removes most organic compounds, bacteria, viruses, and heavy metals. The reverse osmosis membranes are self-cleansing and unwanted particles are carried to an inner core before being discharged from the system. Finally, water passes through a UV-steriliser to destroy the DNA and RNA in bacteria and viruses before being discharged via the clean water outlet. The whole process removes >99% of organic content and chlorine, and 98.9% of salts and minerals, heavy metals, pesticides, and fluoride.
Technical Support
The BlueBox is designed to be easy to operate and requires very little maintenance. Additionally, MuchMoreWater offers a half day or full day technical training of the product.
Replacement Components
Replacement components include: Pre-filters, O-rings, UV lamps, UV glass, Reverse Osmosis membrane, and FDA approved hoses.
Lifecycle
There is no defined life-cycle for the product. The pre-filters are recommended to be replaced every 6 months.
Manufacturer Specified Performance Parameters
The manufacturer specifies >99% of organic content and chlorine, 98.9% removal of salts and minerals, and water production of 28,800 L/day.
Vetted Performance Status
Testing performed by the manufacturer determined that the whole process removes >99% of organic content and chlorine, and 98.9% of salts and minerals, heavy metals, pesticides, and fluoride, although third-party testing to confirm these results are unknown.
Safety
No known safety hazards are related to this product.
Complementary Technical Systems
This product can be paired with post-chlorination methods and can be powered by solar energy. Additionally, the product allows for modularity in which multiple systems can be linked together to increase production. The product can be built into local water distribution systems.
