Product Description

Hadithi Hadithi is Kiswahili and English reading and writing app for children aged 5-7 years. It is available for free on the android store and covers the entire grade 1 curriculum in Kiswahili, with stories and vocabulary matching the syllabus topics for each week of the school year.

The app contains dozens of stories that are aimed to help Grade 1 children with comprehension, spelling, and letter-tracing exercises. The stories are written by Kenyan teachers, illustrated by artists across East Africa, and read by actors and celebrities. It covers the entire curriculum in Kiswahili in Standard 1, with stories and vocabulary matching the syllabus topics for each week of the school year.

The app helps children gain literacy skills faster by applying reading to learn pedagogy, and thus helping deal with the problem of literacy where only 30% of Kenyan 10-year olds can read fluently.
