Grippy is a lightweight and affordable, battery-powered 3D printed prosthetic hand with a sense of touch and multi-grip control. It was engineered and built in India for people with below elbow amputation aged 15 years and above.

Design Specifications
Grippy is a bionic upper limb (hand) prosthesis with a 3-cell lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1000 mAh. The battery has a charger with an input of 100 -240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, 0.3 A, and output: 9 – 12.6 V DC, 0 – 0.5 A. It also has an operating temperature of 20°C to 60°C. The product weighs 0.5 kg with a load capacity of 0.5 kg (lateral) and 2 kg (downward). It has ingress protection: IP30. The product comes in a package containing 1 gripper, 1 set of sensors, 1 set of feedback actuators, 1 battery, 1 charger, 1 spare glove, 1 dummy battery, 1 set of dummy sensors, 1 set of feedback dummy actuators, and 1 dummy connector. The product needs to be fitted with a customized socket based on the measurements taken from the user by a certified professional.
