Project Outcomes
Since 2015, ASME ISHOW, a hardware-led social innovation accelerator, has been instrumental in supporting entrepreneurial ecosystems in India, Kenya, and the United States. Over recent years, E4C Fellows have worked collaboratively with ISHOW to evaluate its impact on communities, as well as the entrepreneurial ecosystems and ventures it supports.
This project aims to enhance ISHOW’s internal data collection and Social Return on Investment (SROI) initiatives for members of the global ISHOW cohort. Specifically, this research contributed to an ongoing longitudinal study, gathering qualitative and quantitative data to assess ISHOW’s impact on early-stage startups and innovation ecosystems.
This year, the Fellow conducted surveys and interviews of eight past participants of ISHOW. The data and insights gathered were analyzed and integrated into the previous year’s report. Recurring themes were reinforced, and new themes emerged from the qualitative data sourced from the interviews. Building on the confidence rankings from the previous year, the Fellow also identified the strengths and weaknesses across different ISHOW regions. To conclude the Fellowship, the Fellow integrated these findings into the ongoing longitudinal study, further highlighting ISHOW’s overall global impact on social entrepreneurship and innovation.
