About Ibrahim Walaman-I

Ibrahim holds a Master of Science degree in Renewable Energy Engineering from Brunel University London, where he was a Chevening Scholar, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). With over 3 years of experience in the energy sector, both in Ghana and the UK, Ibrahim has worked in various roles, including as a Technical Sales Engineer at Naked Energy UK, a Solar Systems Engineer at SunPower Innovations, and a Control Room Operator at Bui Power Authority. In these roles, he has gained valuable experience in designing, installing, and maintaining renewable energy systems and operating hydropower plants. Ibrahim is proficient in using industry software for designing renewable energy systems. In addition to his professional work, Ibrahim is dedicated to making a positive impact on the world. He has been involved in various projects related to renewable energy and energy efficiency in Ghana, including a feasibility study of hybrid solar Photovoltaic Thermal collectors and the design of solar water heating systems. Ibrahim is a co-founder of the Brunel University London Alumni Group in Ghana and serves as a Graduate Alumni Ambassador for Brunel University London, where he develops strategies to engage graduate alumni and support the university's growth. He has a track record of leadership as the Public Relations Officer of AMSE-KNUST and as a facilitator for the UNLEASH Innovations Lab for the SDGs, where he guided a team to win third place in the innovation competition. Ibrahim's achievements speak to his dedication and passion for the field of engineering and his commitment to sustainable and clean energy solutions. He was selected as a Talent for the UNLEASH Innovations Lab for the SDGs and is recognized as a future Energy Leader in Africa. His participation in the READY Challenge 2019 highlights his commitment to developing solutions for marginalized communities. As a Fellow for Engineering for Change (E4C), Ibrahim contributes his knowledge and experience to the field of renewable energy and engineering. He is a dynamic engineer with a vision to drive positive change through innovative solutions in the energy sector and beyond.
