CURRENT JOBS: Network Manager – Low Carbon Energy for Development Network and LCEDN USES Network (www.lcedn.com), 2011 to date: Setting up and running a DECC-funded network hosted by Loughborough University and the Durham Energy Institute linking all research expertise in the UK on energy and development to improve research co-ordination and funding efficiency; background research and writing associated with mapping the UK research landscape. Coordination of EPSRC funded network integrating the projects funded under the Understanding Sustainable Energy Solutions research programme (EPSRC/DECC/DFID); Research Associate – EPSRC Project Energy Literacy for Decentralized Governance; EPSRC Project Solar Nano-grids, October 2013 to date: Responsible for conducting research, writing papers and reports, arranging overall co-ordination of meetings, project assessment and reporting, project fieldwork and timetable compliance; Lecturer in Human Geography at Loughborough University 2007 to date: Lecturer in a wide range of modules from Level 1 to Post-graduate, including development studies, globalization and global/world cities, geographical research methodologies, global economic change, social diversity and the politics of difference; NGO Consultant: Consultant to different non-government organizations, currently UK-based NGO Practical Action (formerly the Intermediate Technology Development Group at the Schumacher Centre) developing policy documents for guiding strategy.
