Jessie is a Civil Engineering MS student at the University of Colorado Boulder and also pursuing a Global Engineering graduate certificate. Jessie previously earned a MS in Environmental Studies from CU Boulder in 2020. In her graduate research, Jessie examines post-wildfire water quality impacts to better understand how thermally altered carbon is traveling and transforming through terrestrial and aquatic systems. Prior to graduate school, Jessie spent two and a half years working for the National Park Service as a River Partnerships Fellow. While passionate about approaching hydrologic concepts through a chemical and quantitative lens, Jessie is also interested in the human dimension and hopes to further explore water treatment strategies and technologies to improve efficiency and resilience.
