Kevin M. Passino is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University. He is the Director of the OSU Humanitarian Engineering Center, on the Fulbright Specialist roster for humanitarian engineering education, and a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is on the IEEE Humanitarian Activities Committee, and is leading education activities for it. He is the author of the textbook "Humanitarian Engineering: Creating Technologies That Help People" (available at this web site for a free download). He is an author or coauthor of six other books, over 120 journal papers, has active projects and research in humanitarian engineering, and free online courses in humanitarian engineering and engineering ethics infused with social justice concepts.
