About Tanmay Nag
Namaste! I am the co-founder and CEO of Enveave, a non-profit based in India. At Enveave, we are on a mission to unite communities for environmental action and bridge the critical gaps between environmental projects, experts, volunteers, and funders. Before starting up, I worked as a management consultant with EY and PwC, where we supported organizations in South and Southeast Asia for their clean energy, electric mobility, green industry, and energy efficiency strategies. I firmly believe that our work should positively impact people at the grassroots. During my undergraduation, I built two social communities: one focused on developing social-ed-tech programs for people with disabilities, and another worked on aggregating and open-sourcing all the college's resources to promote free knowledge access and support economically marginalized students. For my social development work, I was awarded the first Finolex Founder Shri P.P. Chhabria Award for Social Contribution. I am a part of the World Bank’s Youth Advisory Group (YAG), a youth leader for climate action recognized by the United Nations University, a startup mentor at GGGI Greenpreneur, a mentor at CleanEnergy4Africa, and a recipient of PwC’s debut award.

I have many modes of inspiration. These days getting inspired by the individuals and communities trying to reverse the effects of climate change.
I believe clean energy and social media are two critical technologies for sustainable development. Clean energy because it has multi-sectoral effects coupled with the power of poverty alleviation in several regions of the world. Social media if used correctly can bring people together, make them more aware and expand the local solutions globally.
Problem solving and empathy :)
