New, “disruptive” technology can improve lives, create new markets and add new value to existing products. It can also replace and push out less-efficient solutions. But, as the name implies, disruptive inventions can disrupt familiar ways of doing things and unsettle people and their lifestyles. The latest Frame Changers cartoon demonstrates one of the obstacles that new technologies might face when they are first introduced.
