NitroVolt is seeking a Process Chemical Engineer to lead the design of the balance of plant for its green ammonia technology.

NitroVolt is seeking a Process Chemical Engineer to lead the design of the balance of plant for its electrochemical ammonia synthesis technology.

This role involves:

  • Design & Development: Leading the design, construction, and scale-up of electrochemical stacks from prototype to demonstration units.

  • Collaboration & Innovation: Working with multidisciplinary teams to integrate R&D insights into practical applications.

  • Project Management: Handling tendering, contracting, and project documentation.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinating with partners and ensuring compliance with safety and sustainability standards.

  • Process Documentation & Digitalization: Maintaining process records and fostering technical improvements.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in chemical/process engineering with 5+ years of experience, or PhD with 3+ years of experience.

  • Experience: Hands-on experience with industrial gases (hydrogen, ammonia) and process plant development.

  • Desirable Skills: Background in hydrogen, electrolysis, fuel cells, energy transition, or similar industries. Project leadership experience is an advantage.

  • Language: Proficiency in English (Danish is a plus).

Working Conditions & Benefits

  • Location: Søborg, Greater Copenhagen, Denmark.

  • Work Environment: Mix of office and hands-on work, with 1-2 remote days per week.

  • Travel: Occasional project-related travel within Denmark.

  • Start Date: April 1st, 2025 (flexible +/- 2 months).
