Product Description

Agni Star Rice Husk Gas Stove is a batch-type, portable, forced draft, single burner & Top-lit Updraft (TLUD) Gasifier Stove. Designed to use rice husks are primary fuel, it is a third generation domestic stove technology that converts agro-waste (rice husks) into gaseous fuel for domestic cooking purposes. It consumes only 600 grams of rice husk and produces efficient flames during 40-45 minutes of cooking period.

Designed by NDMI Renewable Energy Private Limited that distributes and supplies high-efficiency biomass (Pellet and other agro/wood-waste) appliances and fuels across India & other SAARC countries. Its head office is located in Uttar Pradesh, India.

Design Specifications

Design specifications include the burner and pot support on the top, the gasifier reactor with a safety shield, a control switch, fan (12 VDC) and a char chamber at the bottom with an integrated battery (0.40 A, 4.5 AH SMF). The flames can be monitored through a potentiometer. It is available with a 10W Solar Panel to charge the battery (controller) [AC/DC/Solar], and with a 5in1 DC Mobile Charger.

It weighs 10.3 kgs and its dimensions in cms are 30 x 30 x 50.

Manufacturer Specified Performance Parameters

The manufacturer makes the following claims regarding their stove:

This stove uses no-cost rice husks as fuel, produces minimal smoke during cooking, and allows the user to control the amount of flame on the burner using the rotary switch. Furthermore, gasified rice husks can be converted into char which is a good material as soil conditioner due to its high water holding capacity, or ash when the burning of char is prolonged inside the reactor, which is a good refractory material.

Vetted Performance Status

It has an over 35% thermal efficiency, its operating time is 45-50 minutes (depending upon operation or rice husk type).

Safety

The manufactures specify that the stove is safe to operate but users must take precaution when working with high levels of heat.
