A ceramic pot filter developed in Colombia for use in the household.
Agualogic filters are silver-enhanced ceramic filters that are designed and distributed by Agualogic, a Colombian-based business that is committed to offering solutions for water purification in rural and urban areas. This product eliminates sediments, bacteria and parasites producing drinkable water with a flow rate of 1.5 – 2.0 liters per hour.

Design Specifications
Agualogic filters are composed of a ceramic filtering unit (made of clay, activated carbon and colloidal silver) that hangs inside a container equipped with a top and a spigot for the filtered water. In the filtering unit the clay traps sediments, bacteria and parasites. Activated carbon eliminates chlorine, color, smell and taste from water. And Coloidal silver eliminates coliforms, parasites and bacteria present in water, including E. Coli. This unit has a processing capacity of 8 liters, with a filtration rate of 1.5 – 2.5 liters per hour. Approximate dimensions are: 320 mm diameter, 300 mm high and 187 mm base. The outside container has a capacity of 20 liters and can be made of plastic or enamelware. The plastic container is made of high density virgin polietylene with approximate dimention: 445 mm high and 330 mm in diameter. The enamelware outside container is made of carbon steel coated with a color glass cover and comes in different colors. Aproximate dimentions are 420 mm hight and 325 mm diameter.

Replacement Components
The filtering unit must be replaced every 2 years. Other replacements available are stainless steel and plastic spigots.
Lifecycle
The lifetime of an Agualogic filtering unit is 2 years; The outside case can last up to 30-40 years if well maintained. The filtering unit comes with a 1-year warranty against damages during transportation. User has 72 hours to report any damage after receiving the filter. <sup>Interview with representative</sup>
