Design Specifications

The user interface is selected by the user with available options and modifications. Toilets are made out of porcelain or glass fiber and are either pedestals or made to be positioned on a bench. The toilet seat is connected to a polyethylene composting tank with a 6-9 mm wall size. Tank sizes vary from 650 to 4200 liters. The sewage is stored in the composting tank until it is completely composted. This process takes about 6-7 years depending on the composting environment (micro-organisms, humidity, ventilation, and temperature). The leachate from the urine and liquid components are gathered in an assigned space and can be used as fertilizer.
