The Greenhouse-in-a-Box is a modular greenhouse that provides year-round income for bottom-of-the-pyramid farmers in India.
Also termed “Greenhouse Rakshak”, the Greenhouse-in-a-Box is a modular greenhouse bundled with full stack services that uses 90% less water, grows 7 times more food and gives farmers a steady dependable income. The product is designed and distributed by Kheyti, but the parts are manufactured by JSW Steel.

Design Specifications
The Greenhouse-in-a-Box is a greenhouse which covers a 16 x 16 m platform, made up of 5 3 pipes-frames of 2.5 m tall galvanized steel pipes resting on an 80 cm deep foundation composite (concrete and steel). The platform extends sideways, forming a balcony region of 2 m wide on each side of the structure with J-anchors firmly inserted into the ground at the 2 m limit holding the tensioned cables which ties the 2.5 m tall pipes in place. The structure is then covered by a mono x mono shade net.
