Design Specifications
The Grundfos solar surface pump is a renewable energy-based water supply system designed for simplicity and efficiency in water transfer using solar energy. This system is easy to install and operate, even in challenging conditions, with maintenance limited to occasional cleaning of the solar panels. The pump is constructed with durable materials, featuring stainless steel for the hydraulic components and cast iron for the pump head and base. The CRFlex pump, part of this system, requires protection from rain and direct sunlight and includes a maintenance-free mechanical shaft seal. It is designed to work effectively with a vertical distance of less than 20 feet between the pump inlet and the water source's dynamic level.
The CRFlex pump is equipped with a 2-pole motor that has an integrated variable frequency drive and a wide power input range from 70 to 1250 W. The motor operates at speeds between 1000 to 3400 rpm and can handle a broad voltage input range, from 110 to 415 VDC or 220 to 240 VAC (50/60Hz), allowing it to connect to PV solar modules, an AC generator, or mains power. It utilizes a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) function when operating on DC power for optimal performance. The system is also safeguarded against overloading, overheating, and dry running. The IO 50 component is specifically designed for solar-powered systems, enabling manual control of the pump and serving as a connection hub for all necessary cables in the CRFlex Solar system.
