John Deere Seed Cum Fertilizer Drill is an agricultural implement for sowing seeds and fertilizer application. The product is equipped with a seed meter to facilitate equidistance placing of the seeds. It contains tines which cut lines and at the rear of the tines are transparent seed pipes running from different boxes which drop seeds and fertilizer. The equipment has an adjustment mechanism to facilitate sowing seeds of different kinds of crops. It also comes in two models; SD1009 and SD1013.

Design Specifications

Design specifications: The Seed Cum Fertilizer Drill has a rate adjustment mechanism used for controlling the rate of seed and fertilizer dropping, and a spiked ground wheel which makes it work on sticky soil. The plastic tubes used to transfer the seed and fertilizer are transparent, allowing easy inspection. If they become clogged the tubes can be  detached and cleaned. The product comes in two types based on number of tines: 9 and 13.
