Design Specifications
The Laveo toilet was designed over several years of research and prototyping to fill the need for technology in areas where water and electricity access is limited. The toilet is portable (with the option to mount it to the floor), waterless, and chemical-free.
The toilet is equipped with a flush button and includes a rechargeable battery pack that requires 12 V DC, but an optional AC adapter can be purchased.
The toilet uses a patented waste bagging system to prevent odors and seal waste safely. It is designed to accommodate 17 uses before requiring a refill cartridge. The toilet is capable of holding up to 550 lbs of waste.
The structure is made of high-density polyethylene and is considered lightweight (27 lbs). The product dimensions are 16 × 21 × 23 in.
