Design Specifications
Mobenzi is a tool for digitizing fieldwork and data collection using mobile technology. It includes a range of flexible mobile apps and software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms enabling data collection and content distribution supported by flexible back-end workflow and reporting.
Mobenzi seeks to eliminate paper in data collection and provide users with the ability to plan data collection activities, document the data collection process, as well as building the necessary forms without relying on technical experts.
Forms are created on the Mobenzi platforms and research can collect data using apps that are installed on their phone. The app allows devices to be locked so that only the Mobenzi tools can run, and data collected can be stored offline awaiting synchronization when the device is back online.
The data collected can be visualized easily allowing for demonstration of impact while at the same time making field operations more streamlined. It is applied in the fields of health, education, and agriculture, and has been used in over 40 countries.
