Brazilian-made Filtro Flex by Cerâmica Stéfani is a household silver-impregnated water filter with 6 liters capacity and one or two Stéfani Sterilizing filter candles. The filter candles contain microporous ceramic wall for particles removal, granular activated carbon for chlorine, unpleasant tastes and odor removal, and colloidal silver for disinfection. The Stéfani filter candles are also compatible with all marketed gravity water filters in Brazil and many others worldwide according to the Path C1 Common Interface.

Design Specifications

The Stéfani Filtro Flex weighs 1 kg and is 46 cm tall by 24 cm in diameter. It has a capacity of 8L of safe water storage and consists of one or two filter candles with float valves for greater capacity.

Technical Support

Video tutorials in English and Portuguese are available to assist users in assembling the new filter when it is unpacked and for cleaning and replacement of the filter cartridges.

Replacement Components

Users can purchase replacement Stéfani filter cartridges for around $4 or from housewares stores.

Lifecycle

The filter candles must be replaced after filtering 500 L each or after 6 months, whichever is sooner. The plastic filter housing can be used for many years with proper cleaning and keeping it out of sunlight.

The Stéfani filter cartridges remove all particles between ? 5 up to < 15 ?m, ? 75% of free chlorine (in upgraded Sterilizing filter version), and 2 log reduction of E. coli. All Stéfani filter cartridges meet INMETRO (National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology – from Brazil) criteria for chemicals and particulate.
